The Apparel and Footwear International RSL Management (AFIRM)’s Steering Committee has recently selected five laboratory representatives to serve a two-year term on AFIRM’s Laboratory Technical Advisory Committee (LabTAC), including Chem-MAP Technical Manager Georgina Mawer.
The role of the LabTAC is to support the vision and mission of the AFIRM group in advancing the global management of restricted substances in apparel and footwear. They regularly communicate information about RSL to their members throughout the supply chain, discuss their concerns, and facilitate the exchange of ideas for improving RSL management in the future.
AFIRM continues to be recognized as a global centre of excellence, providing resources to enable continuous advancement of chemical management best practices. The LabTAC includes industry experts, such as Georgina, to promote the objectives of AFIRM and supporting safer chemistry within the apparel and footwear supply chains.
This appointment will enable the Chem-MAP team to contribute further to the management and purging of hazardous chemicals from the global supply chain. Speak to a Chem-MAP expert on +44 (0) 1604 679 999 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
