The Vegan Verification programme developed by Eurofins | Chem-MAP, gives manufacturers and retailers the assurance that raw materials used in the production of materials and, ultimately the finished product, have not been derived from animal origin.
Used extensively in the textile industry, Coveme S.p.A ‘s heat transfer films have been rigorously tested for animal derived ingredients using a combination of PCR analysis for the presence of animal DNA and FTIR analysis.
Coveme is specialised in the design and manufacturing of value added films, especially polyester. Its brand Kemafoil® KTR® covers a range of release films for the print and casting with final application in Fashion and Sports apparel, product Merchandising, Workwear, Automotive and Printed Electronics.
‘The Vegan Verification programme offers manufacturers a robust testing programme that can help with supporting Vegan product claims. Awarding Coveme with the Vegan Verification Mark and Certification for their heat transfer films, will give their customers the reassurance that they are purchasing a verified vegan product, states Georgina Mawer, Head of Eurofins | Chem-MAP – Vegan Verification programme.
‘This certification is another important step in our roadmap towards sustainable products and digital transition. Coveme is the first and currently only heat transfer film manufacturer to having obtained this mark which blends in perfectly with our range of products made of rPET and free of formaldehyde, phtalate and chrome stearate. This means a concrete competitive advantage for our clients in terms of sustainability paired with the Kemafoil® KTR® performance guarantee.’ commented Stefano Fabozzi, Head of Sales Transfer&Release Coveme Group
